Some more budget-album madness! The first twelve tracks were taken from the ELKAY RECORDS LP "That Mersey Sound!" Supposedly performed by The Sparrows, this is a selection of Lennon-McCartney and Mitch Murray covers performed in the style of The Beatles, Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas, Freddy & The Dreamers and even The Rolling Stones!

The final two tracks were taken from an album that seems to have been entitled, "BEATTLE MASH" (yes, that's "BEATTLE" with two Ts) by either The Liverpool Kids, The Four Moptops or The Schoolboys depending on whether you're looking at the front of the LP jacket, the back of the LP jacket or the record label, itself ! Their inept re-write of I Want To Hold Your Hand" must be heard to be believed.

The decidedly unflattering cover portrait was rendered by surfin' cartoonist Rick Griffin.

And, yes, there are two Freddy & The Dreamers covers.
